A Note from Your AMS

Nearly three weeks ago, our association was blessed to have our building torn down and hauled off at no charge! What a great blessing from the Lord. All that remains is to fill in the basement with gravel and cover it with soil, which we hope to complete soon.

At the August Executive Board meeting, we began discussing the possibility of selling our current property and purchasing land on Southland Drive, just blocks away. Please pray that if it is God’s will, He will provide a buyer for our current location and allow us to purchase the new property at a fair price.

Next week, we will officially begin our Tornado Rebuild Campaign. Several of our Disaster Relief volunteers will serve in Faubush repairing a tornado-damaged home. Please pray for safety and that the light of Christ will shine through our team.

Finally, don’t forget our Annual Meeting on Sunday, October 12th. We’ll gather at Somerset Christian School (instead of the Rural Development Center). The business session begins at 3:00 PM, and worship at 6:30 PM. We’ll enjoy music from the Oneida Baptist Institute Choir, preaching from Dr. Charlie Goodman of Clear Creek Baptist Bible College, and a missions report from Landon Williams and his family, IMB missionaries to Chile. Please plan to attend—you will be blessed!

With a grateful heart,
Bro. Tommy
