A Message from Bro. Tommy

Because He Arose

I trust God blessed you with a wonderful Easter weekend. What a glorious time of year it is as we celebrate the resurrection of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

The angelic proclamation spoken to the women who came to prepare Jesus’ body with spices after the Sabbath has echoed through the centuries:

“He is not here, but is risen!”

That was good news then, and it continues to be good news today — our Savior is risen.

Death, hell, and the grave have been defeated. Our sin has been atoned for, and through His grace, by faith, we have not only been restored into fellowship with our Heavenly Father, but we have also been given the gift of eternal life.

Every Easter season, I am reminded of this Good News, and it fills my heart with excitement and gratitude.

The Love of God

It is truly overwhelming to consider that God loved mankind so deeply that He sent His one and only Son into the world to die a substitutionary death on our behalf.

Yet He did.

I am reminded of the beloved hymn written more than one hundred years ago, “The Love of God.”

“The love of God is greater far
Than tongue or pen can ever tell.
It goes beyond the highest star
And reaches to the lowest hell.
The guilty pair, bowed down with care,
God gave His Son to win;
His erring child He reconciled
And pardoned from his sin.”

Let us give glory, praise, and adoration to God for reconciling us to Himself through His Son and for pardoning our sin — past, present, and future.

May we continually worship the risen Savior every day, not just on Easter.

Because He Arose,
Bro. Tommy
