A Note From Your AMS
Our county and state have experienced an extremely cold last couple of weeks. I know many churches have been forced to cancel services a couple of Sundays because of the ice and snow. Hopefully the worst is behind us, and warmer weather will prevail in the days ahead. I know for myself, I’ll be glad for spring to arrive.
A team from our association just returned from Jamaica doing Disaster Relief rebuild work after Hurricane Melissa. There were six men from our association, one from a church that hopefully will join our association soon, and a friend of mine I grew up with in Laurel County who is a deacon at Corinth Baptist Church in London.
We had a blessed time serving the Lord by putting roofs on two different churches. It was an awesome experience watching those church members praise God because they had a place to worship again. On top of that, we were given a few opportunities for Gospel conversations with people who came by the church to see what was going on or to consult about the project. I pray those seeds that were planted will bear spiritual fruit in the future.
The Building Team continues to work diligently on getting the final draft of the new associational building as well as an approximate cost. Our goal is to present those findings at the Executive Board meeting on March 10th at Rock Lick Baptist Church. Please continue to pray for this team as they seek to honor God in all they do.
Just a reminder: Executive Board meetings will now begin with a meal at 6:00 PM, and the meeting will start at 6:30 PM. We previously met at 7:00 PM, but due to meetings running late, we have moved the start time earlier.
Every mission trip I take to another country reminds me how blessed we truly are to live in the United States of America. Road conditions in Jamaica were difficult, many people lived on approximately $500 a month, and most homes were sub-par compared to what we are accustomed to here in Kentucky. Yet the Christians in those churches were joyful despite their circumstances and eagerly praised God for His goodness. I pray I will choose to do the same.
By His Grace,
Bro. Tommy

I would like to thank all the churches that participated in the Christmas Backpack/Angel Tree mission project. We were able to provide backpacks filled with hygiene items, school supplies, clothing, toys, food, and other necessities. Most importantly, we were able to share Jesus with every family involved.
If your church does not currently participate, I encourage you to contact Jeremy Cole, M25 Missionary, to get plugged in for next year.
